The Colorado Plateau covering parts of four states (UT, CO, NM, AZ) with its innumerable features and sights has to be the greatest celebration of sedimentary geology on the planet! In addition to its 10 National Parks, the Colorado Plateau also hosts 17 National Monuments. As well, there are many more separate sites on Forest Service lands, Bureau of Land Management lands, State Parks, and Tribal lands. The galleries in this group cover a few of these locations. As well many of these sites being located on tribal land, they are often also areas sacred to tribal history and traditions.
