The Northern Gannet (Sula bassana) is a large oceanic seabird that dives from a height upon  schools of fish.  It nests in large colonies on rocky islands around the coasts of the North Atlantic, including Canada, Scotland and Ireland.  These images were taken on Great Saltee Island, Co. Wexford, off the southeastern coast of Ireland in July 2007.
