Yosemite conjures up images of clear vistas with bright blue clouds and fluffy clouds.  For a couple of weeks in July 2008 Yosemite was shrouded in smoke from the nearby Midpines wildfire.  Many of the vistas were far from clear during these days, but the haze made its own magic by altering light, especially at sunset, to give new perspectives on these vistas.
