Myvatn with Blafjall "tuya" in background
Blafjall is an extinct "tuya" volcano SE of Myvatn that erupted during the last ice age while it was covered by ice and then again after the glaciers had receded. Tuya volcanos typically have steep sides and flat tops due to the fact that they formed from eruptions under glaciers.
