Selfoss is about a half mile upstream of Dettifoss. Although it is on the same river (Jokulsa a fjollum), Selfoss is not as impressive in terms of "power". This is probably due to the fact that the waterfall is longer in extent, with side cascades, and more spread-out than Dettifoss.
