Pink-footed Geese are the other common breeding goose of Iceland. Majority of these geese winter in Britain and Europe, but a few make it to Ireland with some seen each winter at the Wexford Slobs. Mostly they nest in the interior of Iceland. Given the late spring, many were still waiting to get to their breeding grounds, so we encountered them in Eastern Iceland.
