Tufted Ducks, Myvatn
Tufted Ducks started breeding in Myvatn in the mid 19th century and now is the most common breeding duck here. Many thousands winter in Ireland (e.g., Wexford Slobs); occasional stragglers end up along northeast US coastal areas (we have seen them on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay).
