If there is one thing that Iceland does not have any shortage of, it is waterfalls. Iceland has some of the largest waterfalls and most impressive waterfalls in Europe. Most of the larger ones (Dettifoss, Gullfoss, Godafoss, etc) are on rivers fed by glacial outflow. Many of the others (including Seljalandafoss and Skogafoss) pour off the edges of the plateaux that are found around Iceland's coast. Besides the named ones, there are hundreds of smaller ones that may be seen along the ring road, or in more remote locations.
