Mount Rainier NP is in the top 10 of "must see" parks of the National Park system. It is more than "must see", it is "must experience". After you have gazed in wonder at this enormous ice-cloaked and dormant stratovolcano, ranked among the most potentially dangerous in the world, you have to get out there on a trail. The extensive network of trails around the park take you up close to the largest complex of glaciers in the lower 48. During its brief summer you will see mats of colorful wildflowers growing on bare fellfield, and abundant wildlife.
