Norwegian House Museum, Stykkisholmur

As Iceland is rather sparse in forests (!), much of its lumber has been imported. Historically, most lumber has come from Norway, and houses have been imported partially fabricated and asssembled upon arrival. This was especially the case in the Westfjords (such as Stykkisholmur) and the Eastfjords (Sey∂isfjordur, see later).
